Jonathan JohnsonJonathan is the Center’s Senior Policy Analyst. He joined the Center in 1990, and has developed, and continues to maintain, the state's first rural database on socioeconomic and demographic factors.

Jonathan analyzes and evaluates rural policies and programs, helps organize workshops on rural community development issues, conducts and analyzes the results of numerous statewide surveys of municipal officials, fire chiefs and other officials, reviews grant proposals for the Center and for state and federal agencies and nonprofit organizations, and writes articles for the Center’s bi-monthly newsletter and other statewide publications. Jonathan also represents the Center on various boards and commissions.

Jonathan has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Political Science, and a master’s degree in Policy Analysis from The Pennsylvania State University.
